How to thank your people for all their hard work over the year when it’s impossible to physically get together? Throw a virtual Christmas party and wow your guests with just how much fun can be had remotely.

During lockdown, food supplies were often a worry for people. Recipe box suppliers, such as our client, really stepped up to the mark to support the nation, so it was only right and proper that staff should get to enjoy a Christmas party. With a brief to provide as much enjoyment as possible, we set to work on organising a great online evening.

THE SOLUTION

The party was held on Zoom and overseen by our professional event host who kept the event running smoothly. We utilised Zoom’s breakout facility and guests were able to move between three themed party ‘rooms’ where they could enjoy a wide range of entertainment. Candy Cane Lane featured carol singers, a Christmas quiz and Christmas musical bingo. A magician, singer and comedian performed in the Festive Funhouse. And the Mystical Igloo, specially designed for guests’ children (but a hit with adults as well!), featured a children’s magician, a disco and a TikTok dance tutorial.

The party was rounded off with everyone returning to the main Zoom space for a live 2-hour party DJ set. Originally scheduled to run from 5pm – 9.30pm, everyone was having so much fun that the party carried on until 11.30pm – a good measure, we think, of its success!
