Our vision

MGN events has a vision to be THE leading private and corporate events agency in the South East, serving clients across the UK. We exist to create and deliver memorable experiences, and provide superior event services where customers recommend us to their family and friends; venues and suppliers refer us to their clients; and employees are proud of.

Our Story

Back in 2008, Directors Mike and Neil worked as freelancers in the events industry, Mike working in the late night entertainment industry and Neil in the corporate events world, specialising in Lighting. As brothers hungry for success, we had a vision to bring both sets of skills together to create an exciting and fresh events company that provided an excellent service to both corporate and private clients for their events and parties.

MGN events went limited in 2011 and the company has seen consistent growth each and every year, through continued reinvestment in personnel, products and services. With a team of six full time professionals and a recent move to a brand new warehouse and office space in late 2015 – The future is looking positive and very exciting.

Meet the team


Mike- Managing Director

Co-founder and Managing Director of MGN events, a keen investor in other SME businesses, and also a business mentor.

After graduating from Loughborough University and beginning my career in the late night entertainment industry provided me with a solid foundation to start my own business back in 2008. My role as a full time professional club DJ and promotions & marketing manager was the perfect skill set required for starting an events business.

Alongside my love for music and a passion for creating memorable experiences, MGN events, a family business was born. Eight years on, I am very proud of what MGN events has become and excited where it is going.

The pace and movement of the industry always inspires and excites me and it is a pleasure to be able to run and manage a flexible and responsive events business through the constantly changing event industry while seeking new ways in which to engage and inspire audiences and create a better journey for each customer. Myself and the whole team at MGN events like to think we are very approachable and i’d be delighted to connect with you to discuss how MGN events can not only help, but also add value to your next event.

Neil- Production Director

Neil is what we call the “techie” in MGNevents. He has a passion for all things technical and with the speed in which technology is growing, especially in the events industry, his knowledge is invaluable.
After studying his BAhons degree in lighting design for theatre at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Neil has gained a very strong knowledge of how to achieve the best with practicality in mind. He has a strong passion for creating mind blowing effects and results. His 13 years practical experience and knowledge gained in the industry always shines through.

Matt- Graphic Designer & Account Manager

Matthew is a valuable member of the team. After studying his BAhons degree in set and costume design at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, he brings his creativity and inspiration to us all. Matthew has a strong knowledge of the technicalities of how things work, which compliments his designs massively, enabling them to be created in real life. Whether it’s a conference set with effective logo positioning or full backdrops of the New York skyline, he succeeds with passion.

Josh- Production Assistant

Josh is one of our full time apprentices here at MGN Events. He is working within our production department. He has always had a keen interest in production since the age of 10, this has included working on nationwide tours and includes working with a variety of equipment such as lighting, AV and sound in some of New Zealand’s biggest Venues while he was there studying. With years of experience and passion for production he’s a real aid to the team. He loves his gadgets but if given the chance on his days off he’ll be headed to some part of the country to do some sort of outdoor activity.


Andrea- Project assistant

Andrea is one of our full-time apprentices with us at MGN Events. She is working within the projects and customer enquiry area of business. She has completed a college BTEC Level 3 course and has decided that her next venture will be the Events Industry. Andrea is a party girl who loves to socialise and network. Her passion for events comes from her attendance at a range of parties and corporate events. Attention to detail and out of the box thinking helps with adding extra wow factor to events and ideas. On the weekends Andrea will be usually out with friends or finding anything fun to do that can include having a laugh.

Emy- Event co-ordinator

Emy is one our newest members of the team, so new she hasn’t yet finished writing her website biography!

We can inform you, she is often caught saying to people on the phone: “Make sure you have a large glass of wine.” on several occasions! She is also now a TV Superstar after appearing on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway sketch with Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy.
