THE BRIEF
An Ibiza-themed Party
The hottest summer on record prompted our client to throw a surprise high-end birthday party for her son in his beautiful garden, a great idea. The drawback? It was a last-minute decision, giving us just nine days in which to plan and organise everything. Naturally, we achieved the almost impossible – and in fine style!
With just nine days to plan, this Ibiza-themed party required fast decision-making, trusted suppliers and absolute clarity of vision. Our priority was to create something that felt effortless and sun-soaked, rather than rushed or improvised. The client wanted the party to capture the spirit of Ibiza – relaxed, stylish and full of energy – while still feeling elevated and appropriate for a high-end private celebration. Every creative and logistical choice had to work hard, delivering maximum impact without unnecessary complexity.
THE SOLUTION
A white stretch tent provided much needed shade for the party, but guests could still enjoy the beautiful blue skies. To protect the lawn, we used boarded flooring that was then carpeted and a white dance floor provided space for dancing to the DJ’s set. White sofas, LED cube furniture and white poseur tables kept things looking sophisticated, and potted palm trees and vibrant and exotic floral displays added a tropical touch.
The layout of the Ibiza-themed party was designed to encourage movement and interaction throughout the afternoon and evening. Guests drifted easily between shaded lounge areas, the dancefloor and the bar, creating a natural rhythm to the celebration. The combination of crisp white styling, tropical greenery and open garden views kept the atmosphere light and summery, while the stretch tent provided a relaxed focal point that anchored the entire experience. It felt more like a private beach club than a back-garden party.
An outdoor barbecue area was neatly adapted to serve cocktails and the Caribbean food we’d arranged. And as night fell, the lighting scheme designed by our technical team created a spectacular club environment.
As the sun dipped and the temperature softened, the Ibiza-themed party shifted gear. Carefully programmed lighting transformed the space, introducing warmth, movement and colour that echoed the island’s iconic sunset-to-sundown energy. The DJ’s set evolved with the evening, moving from laid-back daytime sounds into more upbeat, Balearic-inspired tracks that pulled guests onto the dancefloor. What began as a relaxed garden gathering became a full evening celebration, with the tent glowing, cocktails flowing and the party continuing long into the night.
The result was an Ibiza-themed party that felt spontaneous, stylish and perfectly pitched for a summer celebration. Despite the tight turnaround, the experience felt considered and cohesive, with guests commenting on the atmosphere, music and seamless flow of the event. For our client, it was proof that with the right creative partner, even a last-minute idea can become something genuinely special.
