The MGN team were great.
Thanks to Hanneke (who started the journey) and Megan (who finished it!). Nothing was too much trouble and they did a great job – feedback has been fantastic!
Objective
Our private client set us a clear objective: to plan a 60th to end all 60ths, it really was that simple! A birthday party that people don’t just talk about the next day, they’re still grinning about it weeks later. Our client, a fabulous hostess with a keen eye for detail, wanted to celebrate her 60th in style. This was all about creating an experience guests would never forget.

The Brief
The party needed to feel relaxed and luxurious, with playful touches, a real wow moment and every detail thought through. Our client loved one of our previous tipi garden parties so we used that as a starting point for inspiration, then elevated it with new ideas, a few risqué touches, and a headline performance from none other than Peter Andre!

What we Did
Design & Styling
The theme was centered on botanical, with a pink and green palette that brought the garden to life. We created a beautiful arrival moment with stilt-walking tree characters and a foliage photo wall, perfect for selfies with the butlers in the buff (more on them in a moment) and later, Peter himself.
The tipis were styled with tables, oak barrels, LED up lighting and a custom-built stage. A mirrorball complete with pinspot lighting to create that glittering, late-night dancefloor vibe finished the look. Outside, festoon lighting guided guests between key areas, with statement trees and garden features gently lit to create atmosphere as the sun set.

Food & Drink
From the first sip to the last bite, we made sure guests were well looked after. On arrival, guests were greeted with a ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ cocktail – a theatrical blend of vodka, peach wine, lemongrass and citrus that changed colour before your eyes. Prosecco and mocktails were also on offer, all served by a team that included two cheeky ‘Butlers in the Buff’, setting the tone for a fun-filled evening.
Signature drinks such as, English Country Garden, Mojitos and, Pornstar and Espresso Martinis on repeat, spirits, wines, beers and softs all shaken and stirred by our expert team of flair bartenders and mixologists.

Food was served in waves: Canapés on arrival (think grilled prawns, heirloom tomato bruschetta and tajin-spiced cauliflower), followed by a fancy BBQ with flame-grilled meats, homemade salads and veggie showstoppers. Later on guests were treated to an ice-cream bar with four flavours including salted caramel and mango sorbet and late-night pizzas fired from a pizza oven with a selection of toppings from prosciutto and rocket to hoisin duck.
A birthday isn’t a birthday without cake, so we organised a two-tier chocolate and vanilla birthday cake, served with ice cream after the candle moment. Guests toasted the birthday girl with a round of mini margarita shots and just when they thought it couldn’t get better…

Entertainment & Production
Cue Peter Andre. Yes, really. Complete with dancers, set list, meet and greet and full AV spec. We worked closely with his team behind the scenes to make sure everything ran perfectly from stage lighting and sound to walk-on moments and surprise reveals.
Supporting the big moment was a stellar line-up: DJ with roaming sax and electric violin, enchanted stilt walkers, dancing and more dancing.
Our expert Creative Sparks were onsite to ensure the day ran smoothly, from the first guest to arrive to the last person dancing, we handled everything, from the production, power, lighting and logistics with minimal fuss and maximum spark.

The Results
“That was the party to end all 60ths!!” Mission accomplished.
Guests couldn’t believe the level of detail. And Peter Andre? … A standing ovation, of course. This wasn’t just a birthday party; it was a show-stopping, garden-party-gone-glam celebration that set the bar for milestone birthdays. If you’re thinking about throwing something a little extraordinary, we’d love to help.
