The Brief
We create many parties and events around particular themes but this particular glamorous 50th birthday party proves that keeping it simple can be just as effective. Our client wanted to mark his 50th birthday by hosting a celebration dinner for 50 guests – no gimmicks, no dressing up, just a really enjoyable experience for everyone.
The Solution
The party was held in a marquee set up in the garden of our client’s home in Virginia Water. Guests arrived to a blaze of colour transforming the exterior of the property, leaving them in no doubt that something special was happening. The marquee interior was dressed simply with black drapery and lit with blue and purple colour washes, adding warmth to the sophisticated white table settings.
Table chandeliers topped with a simple yet stylish floral arrangement created an elegant focal point on each table. Illuminated poseur tables and high stools were dotted around the dancefloor for informal drinking and chatting, helping to ensure that guests would mingle throughout the evening. And one of the party highlights was undoubtedly the dessert station, which featured a stunning array of tempting desserts.
