The Brief
Following a very successful Christmas party, we were asked to design and deliver another key event in this particular company’s social calendar, a festival style summer party for employees and their families.
The Solution
We needed plenty of outdoor space for 600 guests and Tulley’s Farm in Crawley was ideal for the festival party we were planning. We utilised some of the barn spaces, which would offer shelter in the event of rain (but actually provided shade from the sun!), and created an outdoor stage area covered by an open-ended marquee. Straw bales, giant bean bags and deck chairs provided seating for guests to enjoy an impressive line-up of six bands.
We also set up a family funfair, including a fabulous Ferris wheel and Helter Skelter, to keep all ages entertained, along with face painting and activities for younger children. Informal street food is the perfect catering choice for a festival event, and guests enjoyed burritos, noodles and mac’n’cheese. Ice cream, candyfloss and other treats were also in plentiful supply!
Occupying a large amount of the venue’s land, all the different elements were tied together with festival flags, festoon lights and plenty of bunting – we even had a site map for guests! Moving into the evening, we created a club area inside a barn, where our DJ kept everyone dancing for hours.
