High production values for virtual events are more important and achievable than many people realise.  Over the last year we’ve all become well versed in having meetings over Zoom, Microsoft Teams and the like. It’s a great solution for team updates and project meetings. No one minds too much about what appears in the background – bookshelves are good, piles of ironing less so! It’s easy to excuse someone’s lack of technical ability to switch on their camera or microphone.

The challenge with internet connectivity mid-presentation can be infuriating when the screen suddenly freezes at an important point and watching the speaker trying to share their screen – and failing – is incredibly frustrating. But there’s only four or five of you in the meeting, you can laugh it off and get back on track eventually.

But what happens when you’re planning a key event in your corporate event calendar – your annual conference or an important leadership event, for example. How will it look if screens go blank, speakers miss their cues, audio is a bit hit and miss, and nothing quite hangs together?

What does ‘high production values’ actually mean?

To put it simply, a virtual event with high production values looks polished, comes across as professional and delivers an engaging experience for participants.

Think about the virtual meeting we mentioned above – whether it’s on a laptop or mobile phone, the sound won’t be great, the camera work rather dodgy and editing of content, if there is any editing at all, will be cursory. All of which makes for a poor experience. And a complete lack of production values. Now take things to the opposite end of the scale, where image quality is razor sharp, lighting has been properly considered, transitions are smooth and content has been professionally created – this is where we see high production values shining through.

Build in high production values from the start

We bang on about production values a lot. It’s that level of quality and attention to detail that has seen MGN events gain an excellent reputation for incredible live events. And it’s exactly the same when it comes to running virtual events for our clients.

Knowing that virtual events will continue to be held for the foreseeable future – and may even become a permanent fixture for many companies who struggle to get all of their people together in one place – we’ve ensured that the virtual events we deliver are elevated way above standard Zoom calls.

Virtual events that are as professional as live TV

Yes, your virtual event can be that sophisticated, that polished, that engaging. With our creative and technical input, we’ll turn your next virtual event into a slick production – we possess all the necessary expertise in-house.

Virtual studio

We have invested heavily in creating a virtual studio from where we can control all aspects of a virtual event. Rather like a TV production team, we are able to live stream all content, vision mixing for the highest quality output. Transitions from speaker to video content to a Q&A session are seamless and smooth.

Virtual green room

At a traditional live event, where everyone is in the same environment, your speakers will know when it’s time to go on stage because an event manager will be coordinating everything. When everyone is in multiple locations, it can be more of a challenge to seamlessly move from one section of the event to another. Our virtual green room removes the risk of ‘dead air’ – it’s a virtual space in which speakers/presenters can communicate with us and vice versa without interrupting the event itself. So as their turn gets closer, we can give appropriate cues and ensure they’re ready to speak.

Technical support throughout

No need to worry about screen sharing or a presentation failing, our tech team will take care of everything so that speakers can focus solely on what they need to say.

Branding

We understand the importance of branding and will follow your corporate brand guidelines when creating the visual elements of the event. From bespoke graphics to presentation slides and animations, we’ll ensure that the entire event is on brand.

An interactive experience for attendees

A slick event would be pointless if it doesn’t successfully engage the audience. We know how to grab audience attention and keep them interested – from online polls and quizzes to providing breakout rooms for networking.

Seamless service

From planning to creating a bespoke registration website to post-event analysis, we’ll take care of every aspect of your event, removing all the stress and worry and enabling you to focus on your day-to-day business.
